General Session I: Know Thy Data!

Dr. Shula Nedley, Psychometrician and Consultant with OnHand Schools, will discuss strategies to analyze your new PSSA/Keystone scores, along with other key student and assessment data, to better understand district strengths and weaknesses.

  1. Simplifying Curriculum Development by Starting with Lesson Plans
    Dr. Todd Keruskin, Assistant Superintendent at Elizabeth Forward School District, and Dr. Paula Calabrese, Consultant with OnHand Schools, will share their insights on using the OnHand Schools EdInsight Curriculum Manager and Lesson Planner in a unique, truly backward design process. They will demonstrate how to make the most of teacher lesson plans to capture the taught curriculum and to use it as the basis for first establishing a written Standards-Aligned Curriculum and then creating a Standards-Based Classroom so that the written, taught and tested curricula are all aligned in support of improving student achievement.
  2. Strengthening Intervention Strategies with RTI/MTSS
    Dr. Steve Biancaniello and Nathan Howell will discuss practical strategies that make it easier to identify/group/tier students with active progress monitoring and reports to evaluate intervention programs.
  3. Know Thy Data! Part 2 - Deeper Dive
    Part two of the “Know Thy Data” track. Working Session for Principals or Data Teams with a deeper dive into your PSSA/Keystone data.
